Art Club Meeting- Wednesday October 27th!
Hey guys!
Our next meeting is this Wednesday, October 27th. We'll be at the usual meeting place at 12:30.
Since Halloween is next weekend, I'll be bringing in some treats!
Feel free to bring candy, cookies, cupcakes, etc to share :)
We will be talking about a charity project called Pinch Pots for Puppies, the upcoming Art Club/Drama Club sponsored Blacklight dance, and the museum trip to the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Hope to see you there!

Updates: Co-Sponsored Art Club/Drama Club Dance
Yesterday, a few members of the art club met with some members of the drama club to discuss ideas, plans, and details for the upcoming dance.
We decided to go with a blacklight theme. Think bright neon colors, "rave", glow sticks, glow in the dark paint etc
The most urgent issue that was brought up during the meeting was ideas on how to promote the dance. We need ideas for poster designs to promote the dance, the sooner the better. If you have an idea and only have the time to come up with a rough sketch, no worries, just bring it to our next meeting.
The dance is in three weeks, so the sooner we come up with a complete poster design, the sooner we can start advertising the dance. This event should really help out our club, and if a lot of people are interested in going, we'll be able to raise more money for club activities and things like our club t-shirts.

Art Club/Drama Club Meeting on Friday, October 22nd!
The Art Club and Drama Club will be meeting on Friday to talk over details for the co-sponsored dance. This is an important meeting, so please try to make it if you can! We will be talking over a date for the dance, possible themes for decorations and advertisements for the dance, and budget details, among other things.
We will be meeting at 3:00 at the Holy Family Hall (not the art studio!) in room 118 (by the elevator on the first floor). Hope to see you there!

Art Market @ Campus Center: October 20th and 21th
This month's art markets are scheduled for next week on Wednesday October 20th and Thursday October 21th. We will be meeting at the campus center at 12:00 and will probably be there until 1:30-2:00.
Once again- if you don't have anything to sell this month, stop by and hang out.
Last month's market went great and we're hoping for an even better turn out this time around!
(If you have anything that you would like to sell just bring it along and we'll put it on the table! I've found it helps to have price tags or a small sign with the prices of whatever you are selling.)

Attn: Art Therapy Majors! Info on Creative Arts Summit
For the Art Therapy Majors that are interested in volunteering at the summit, you must contact the volunteer coordinator in order to participate. I sent out a message with her name and email address and what to include in the email. If you can't find the email, please message me so I can resend the information to you. The Creative Arts Summit should be a great time and a great opportunity! Once we are given more information by the volunteer coordinator, we can start planning our day trip to New York. I'll keep you posted with more information as I find things out!

Logo Designs for Holy Family Basketball Tip-Off Event

Holy Family's Basketball Tip-Off Event Commitee is looking for a logo to be printed on t-shirts. These shirts will be handed out at the tip off event for Holy Family's mens and womens basketball teams this year! If you are interested, sketch out a design and bring it to the art club meeting (this wednesday, October 6th).
The designs can include anything related to basketball, a tiger, a hoop, etc . . . think creatively! This is a great opportunity to showcase your design skills, build your resume, and help out another campus organization :)
